In Music & Clothing - Mac Miller's 'Knock Knock' music video and SABIT cardigan

 

I just watched the video for Mac Millers 'Knock Knock' and like most of his music videos it is awesome. The video starts with a grease lightneing style dance off and then an old school disco. This vid is well made and really suits the tune. During most of the vid Mac is wearing a red SABIT cardigan and ive seen a lot of comments on forums and on the youtube video asking what make the cardigan is and where to get it so here it is for clarity!

 

   

 

 

 The cardigan is out of season now so is not available from the SABIT store itself. You can still buy it from eBay and amazon etc. if you look hard enough and i presume this is because Mac has made it famous so people still want it but the store does not have it in season anymore.

In Music - Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar is a rapper from Compton, California. I first heard him featuring on Mac Miller's newest mixtape 'Macadelic'. He features in a song called 'Fight The Feeling'. To me, Kendrick is like a new era of Hip-Hip along with other artists such as Ab-Soul and Stann Smith.

Hip-Hop is turning sour with crappy auto tuned 'artists' such as Lil' Wayne and the YMCMB collective. Rappers like Kendrick and Ab-soul combine a great beat with proper lyrical talent that will surely leave a dent in what Rap and Hip-Hop have become.

In Clothing - Vault Harlem

I stumbled across this when i was watching a video about Chris Brown. A guy called Lowkey was wearing a really nice baseball t-shirt with 'Vault' written on it. From then it took me about two hours to find the right Vault website.

What i found was worth the 2 hours i spent looking! Vault focuses on 'new and established streetwear, sportswear and contemporary brands'. I really admire the fact that they make their own clothes and sell other brands. Vault reflects today's street culture and is a part of their community, not to mention their clothes are sick!

Clams Casino is a visionary beatmaker and an artist to watch. He has already produced beats for two great artists Mac Miller and A$AP Rocky and two not so great artists Soulja Boy and Lil B.

In Clothing - XCVB

XCVB is a successful blog that also has its own clothing line. The products available currently are crewneck sweatshirts, vests, snapbacks etc. The blog is definitely unique and is a good read, however it is the clothing i'd like to talk about.

The small collection is perfect for mixing and matching outfits because all the clothes have the same great style and designs. This crewneck is also a reasonable price at £39. It is perfect to wear a snapback with and a pair of wayfarers. It gives off the real 'laid-back' look and i really think this messy look is very stylish and in at the minute. This relatively small but powerful collection of clothing will soon be expanded no doubt and lose some of its uniqueness so for me at the moment its a 10/10 buy,  but with hope for the future that XCVB can release some more great looking wear.

In Music - Mac Miller

Between smoking weed and chilling with Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller makes music... and very good music at that.

Infact, it's so good that the 20 year old's first studio album 'Blue Slide Park' debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of 144,000 copies. Not bad for someone who can't even drink legally yet.
